We are excited to invite you to the 50th Clinical and Scientific Meeting of the American Academy of Orofacial Pain (AAOP), taking place April 30 - May 3, 2026, at the beautiful Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa in Orlando, Florida.

This landmark event will celebrate five decades of advancing the understanding and treatment of orofacial pain, and promises a rich program of education, innovation, and connection.


Conference Clinical and Academic Learning Objectives

During the meeting attendees will:

  • Review the historical evolution and future direction of the orofacial pain specialty.
  • Evaluate advanced neuroimaging applications for assessing orofacial pain.
  • Apply behavioral and therapeutic alliance strategies to enhance sleep and chronic pain care.
  • Integrate evidence-based self-management tools and interdisciplinary perspectives across body systems.
  • Compare emerging pharmacologic interventions, including CGRPs, botulinum toxin, and low-dose naltrexone.
  • Analyze systemic influences on orofacial pain, including hypermobility and fibromyalgia.
  • Interpret sleep neurophysiology and dental sleep medicine approaches to improve pain outcomes.
  • Assess the clinical utility of artificial intelligence in diagnosis, learning, and imaging interpretation.
  • Explore interdisciplinary innovations in nutrition, telehealth, and oral posture in TMD care.
  • Examine regenerative injection therapies and best practices for sustainable orofacial pain practice management.


The American Academy of Orofacial Pain is an ADA CERP Recognized Provider.

ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry.

AAOP designates the core of this conference for 20 continuing education credits. Pre-conference courses (require separate registration) are each worth between 3.5 and 7 continuing education credits.
